4 Months

  • He's reaching for his toys and interacting with them.
  • Teething... First bottom tooth broke through.
  • Trying to sit up.
  • Balding, but his hair looks more even and he is still as handsome as ever.
  • He smiles at everyone still and seems to be an outgoing baby.
  • He loves seeing the TV on. Oops.
  • He loves taking walks and looking around at everything.
  • Went on his first Disneyland trip!
  • First long road trip to California, he did great! But was very tired towards the end.
  • He loves my family dog, Prince. He'd reach his hand down to touch and Prince would lick his hands. They bonded really quick ha ha.
  • Wearing 6 month onesies because he is long.
  • Coo's a lot and especially with his daddy. He loves talking and talking when he gets home from work.
  • He holds on to my face and Zach's too. That's one of my favorite things lately. Whether I'm kissing him or just talking, he'll put his hands on both my cheeks.

Time has flown by with Hudson. He was just born and now he'll be getting close to being 5 months. We're going to start introducing solids to him next week and that means I won't be exclusively nursing anymore. Nursing has been one of the hardest things for me. I know many women can relate but for some it comes easier. I learned for myself that I just needed to hang on for a couple of months and it would be worth it. Now I love it and I know Hudson does too. It's our special time that no one else can replace and something that comforts my baby when he needs it. I love him so much and I'm so grateful to have him and that I get to be his mommy. He makes Zach and I smile every day. He gives us more meaning to life. He's what really matters in life and nothing could replace that.

Everybody loves babies. Even the most tough looking people can't help to smile or "aww" when they walk past a baby. That's something that became new to me. People will stop to tell me how cute Hudson is or will tell me how happy he is. I'm so flattered when people stop to just say something nice about him. It's just something I didn't expect! I feel so fortunate to have such a good and smiley baby. He just makes life so much more fun! And I've got to cherish every second!
