Tradition - simple sugar cookie idea

Here is a simple sugar cookie decoration idea I thought of when I was making cookies with my boys  this week. Everything i looked at on Pinterest was for glazed sugar cookies and I think this soft regular buttercream frosting looks great. I like the soft fresh frosting. My mother in law told me a great tip that I loved this week. I baked the dough one day, let it chill over night, baked them the next day, then frosted the next day. They stayed soft in Tupperware and my kitchen was less messy. It was nice to do during my baby’s morning naps and my older boys loved helping and having something fun to do together before school!

This weekend my husband surprised us with a stay at Zermatt in Midway and we are loving the Swiss market and food. I was able to complete some gift shopping for my secret Santa.  The boys met Santa and are in heaven. These traditions warm my heart and light up my boys’ faces. Today after seeing the merry-go-round in our view,  Hudson said, “This is the best hotel everrrrr!”

Christmas Door - holiday decor inspiration

I fell in love with the vintage bells idea last year in Pinterest. I found some on Roolee and it sold out in a snap! 😫 I had it in my cart and I shoulda bought it when I saw it! They were only $24. But I didn’t lose hope. I looked around and found some on McGee and Co. but they were a little pricey for me, $56 but I was willing to make the plunge. Then I had the thought to look on Magnolia for some reason (I haven’t ever bought anything or visited the sight) and found the exact same bells for $29 and was able to get a discount for subscribing so I didn’t hesitate! I’m in love!! Simple and beautiful to me! Xo.

DIY Christmas Ornament idea

I got all these supplies at Michael’s! These were all half off the week after cyber week. I’ve always wanted to do something with clear ornaments so I thought these  would be fun to do with my Beehives for mutual tonight! I think it makes for a cute decor accessory. You can never have enough Christmas trinkets! Xo.
